Nicolas Mas’s Summary

New Technologies / IT engineer [EFREI Engineering Institute in Paris '2007].

I first focused on Business project management support (internship, BNP Paribas Securities Services, finance field). Next I filled up my grad school experience on software method and governance side (AXA Corporate Solutions, insurance field).

Created my own consulting business before I graduated (in 2006) - ConceptSL (see http://www.ConceptSL.com), specialized in emerging new technologies (3D-internet, Virtual Worlds and Avatars, and mixing all this with the web). We were very good at helping new ideas, products, business lines by handling the new technologies angles.

The global economic crisis hit us, emerging technologies lost the hype they gained in 2007/2008 with the rising of Second Life. I took a daytime job while pursuing my consulting business evenings and week-ends (mainly publishing papers on Avatar topics and assisting startups with their tech strategy).

So I took advantage of a position offered by a software solutions for governance, risk and compliance. I was asked to manage the internals systems which support the business steering.

I worked on that subject until the company made new business priorities.

I was then asked by the French Navy (Marine Nationale) to work as officer (Lt Junior Grade) at Navy Headquarter on Information Systems Security, and occasional deployed on warships. That experience last a few month and as I'm considered as an expert, I'm "on demand". The thing specific in my contract is that I can refuse a mission.

I am now looking for a new challenge, dealing with new technologies, Information System, product development or anything transverse that requires a technical expertise, but also a good knowledge of marketing, business, product, communication. France or another country, it doesn't matter : I'm immediately available with no personal constraints.
