Maryline Marquet (Goblet)’s Summary

I started my professional journey in 2002 when I joined BNP Paribas’ Syndication Group in New-York. In this role, I pitched, evaluated, structured and closed over 10 transactions. In 2003, I moved to the nascent Acquisition Finance and Loan Structuring group. I performed extensive financial modeling and cash flow analyses to evaluate the debt repayment capability of prospective clients and to optimize acquisition financing solutions.

Through my banking experiences, I realized that my professional interest was more in advising clients and setting up new teams than just in finance, so I joined the consulting industry.

At Capgemini Consulting, I worked on a variety of engagements from the reorganization of a major French brewer’s sales force to the launch of new products in the financial industry. As a project manager, I was able to demonstrate my leadership and mediation skills. I coached brainstorming sessions with my clients to identify solutions and ways to implement them.

In 2006, I decided to leverage my personal experience and launched a company, Ubiquicity, to create an added value service for expatriates and small businesses between New York and Paris. I developed the business model based on an hourly price and wrote the business plan for this niche market. I worked on the web site design and I developed the business both in Paris and New York. From a management perspective, I personally hired and managed daily providers, contractors and partners based on their affinity with Ubiquicity’s brand and values.

In August 2008, I enrolled in INSEAD MBA as I realized I needed further training and exposure to become successful in business.

I graduated in July 2009 and joined Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceuticals in Paris working directly for the Vice President. Today, I continue to seek opportunities that challenge my logic and beliefs.
