Eric GROISE’s Summary

I have a great passion for software technology.
I am recognized as a good speaker (Devdays, DNG symposium, NDC), and I love sharing ideas and analysis with other people.

After few years of IT consulting, I became Vice CTO of a very smart consulting company named OCTO (www.octo.com). Then I decided to come back to roots : Software Development. I spent 2 years as a simple software architect in an Amazon company: Mobipocket (www.mobipocket.com). I worked on innovation around in eBooks. After this great experience, I came back to OCTO as Product Manager of a great Micro Finance software: Octopus (www.octopusnetwork.org). It's Open Source, free, reliable and very simple to use.

Now I am working hard in improving GUIs usability. It is amazing to see how bad companies’ application user interfaces are. Many employees are compelled to use every very painful application. Let’s change this!

Also, few years ago, I had the great honor to be a member of the Microsoft Regional Director Program (www.microsoft.com/rd), and I currently teach object technologies in an French engineering school (www.esme.fr).
