Psychometrics/Biostatistics Consultant
Paris Area, France
I primarily worked in experimental psychology (visual perception and motor control) using psychophysics methods. My work was strongly anchored in Neurosciences, from a theoretical point of view. During my PhD, I was progressively interested in statistical methods related to behavioral measurement. Upon completion of my PhD, I worked as a psychometrician for educational testing, still getting in touch with my former lab. Meanwhile, I've been involved in biomedical research and statistical adivising. Now, I'm working as a consultant for INSERM. My main interests lie in the use of computer programs to convey relevant information on highly structured dataset. This includes: computational statistics, mixed-effects models, categorical data analysis, item-response theory, automatic reporting, multivariate exploratory visualization, Don't plan any further career change.

2009 — Present (less than a year)
I am mainly involved in the joint analysis of genetics, psychometrical and neuroimaging data sets coming from a large-scale european assessment of children aged 14-16. The goal is to identify biomarkers relevant to deviant and/or addictive behaviors.
